Compostable moisture protection
A better end-of-life for desiccant packets.
KompoDry is an early-stage compostable desiccant concept in development; not yet product ready or commercially available. We’re sharing the direction now so brands, packaging teams, and curious collaborators can express interest, ask questions, and follow the journey.

The Product Mockup
The packaging paradox
Moisture protection shouldn’t become permanent waste.
Billions of silica gel packets are discarded after single use.
Most conventional sachets are made from Tyvek — a flash-spun, non-recyclable synthetic plastic — and filled with amorphous silicon dioxide. They can’t be composted, recycled, or safely introduced into soil. They will stay in landfill forever.
A compostable packet engineered from natural minerals.
KompoDry replaces synthetic wrap with a four-component natural desiccant system enclosed in 100% home compostable packaging. A packet designed to work during shipping and then contribute to soil health after disposal.
Inside the packet
Each ingredient is selected for a specific role in moisture capture, structure, and safe composting.
Calcium Chloride
Aggressively attract moisture, significantly boosting absorption capacity in both the packet and in soil
Natural zeolite
In this composite, zeolite provides a rigid, highly porous framework for moisture trapping both in the packet and in the soil
Magnesium sulfate
Prevents leakage through solid-block formation, broadening the humidity absorption range, and boosting the structural strength of the formulation. Accelerates moisture capture in plant roots.
Bentonite Clay
Bentonite clay then captures and stabilizes the resulting liquid brine, preventing leaks and keeping the packet dry to the touch. Increases the moisture-retention in the soil
Certifications we’re working toward.
Home Compostable AS 5810
Will completely biodegrade after 12 months in a home compost or garden.

Product Lifecycle

Step 1
Manufacturer places your KompoDry in the packaging to keep the contents dry and moisture free.
Step 2
Customers product is delivered. Customer removes KompoDry from packaging and places it in their compost or garden.
Step 3
Over the next 6 moths, KompoDry will fully breakdown into customers compost or garden.
Step 4
Ingredients from KompoDry will return to the earth, supplying vital minerals and nutrients to help your plants grow.
A concept for moisture control that is moving toward real-world validation.
KompoDry is currently an early concept and mockup-stage product, not a finished desiccant ready for sale. If you’re interested in samples, packaging use cases, or technical questions, reach out and we’ll keep the conversation honest and practical.
